  • COISSA takes great pride in presenting this distinguished scholarship to individuals committed to the relentless pursuit of educational and professional excellence. This esteemed award is crafted to empower aspiring students and seasoned professionals alike, providing vital financial assistance to seamlessly navigate the costs of tuition, course materials, and other related expenses.

    Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

    High School or College student pursuing an education in Cybersecurity or Information Security in the 2024-2025 academic school year.

    or

    Actively pursuing a Cybersecurity or Information Security certification or professional training course in 2024.

  • COISSA is pleased to award this distinguished scholarship to current or aspiring leaders dedicated to enhancing their leadership skills. Recipients are selected for their demonstrated commitment to personal and career development, with the aim of empowering them to make impactful contributions to their professional communities.

    Applicants must meet the following criteria:

    Motivated to expand their leadership skills in support of the Cybersecurity or Information Security community.

    and

    Currently employed within the Cybersecurity or Information Security field.

Justin Kerby and His Wife

The Justin Kerby Scholarship Fund will honor the life of Justin and all of those who lost their battle with Covid-19. Justin strived to continuously improve himself as an avid learner and musician while exploring his curiosity to develop his skills in Information Technology. Justin’s father, Chad Sturgill, is a part of our local information security family, mentored several people throughout his career in this space, and served on the Central Ohio ISSA Board.

By donating even a small amount, you too can give back to the community in a big way.

The Central Ohio ISSA has donated $10,000 to kick off our fundraising campaign with hopes of continuing to raise funds to maximize the impact the Justin Kerby Scholarship Fund will have on those looking to grow within our industry.
